Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026
Cat Sock Studio LLC (“Cat Sock Studios,” “we,” “us”) operates catsockstudios.com. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect what you submit: name, email, phone number if provided, and your message. We don’t collect this information any other way.
How we use it
We use contact-form information only to respond to your inquiry. We don’t sell, rent, or share it with third parties for marketing.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general, aggregate site traffic so we can improve the site. It is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint or identify individual visitors, and does not track you across other websites. It records only non-identifying, aggregate information such as page views, referring sites, and general device or browser type.
Cloudflare also provides our website hosting and security. In that role, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as IP address) as needed to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Website assistant
This site offers an automated assistant that answers questions about our services using a published, public knowledge base. It is not a person, and it does not have access to client accounts or client data.
When you send it a question, we record a limited, privacy-conscious log so we can improve the answers: the date and time, a sanitized copy of your question, whether an answer was produced, which knowledge pages were used, whether you clicked through to contact us, and any error category. Before your question is stored, we automatically strip out and replace things that look personal: email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, names given in phrases like “my name is…”, and long strings of digits such as card or account numbers.
That stripping is automatic pattern-matching, not a human review, so we can’t promise it catches every possible way of writing personal information. Please don’t type sensitive personal details into the assistant. If you need to share specifics about yourself or your business, use the contact form or email instead. Those reach us directly and are handled as described above.
We do not store full IP addresses, passwords, payment details, or contact-form submissions in the assistant’s logs, and we do not use these logs to build a profile of you or to advertise to you. Your IP address is used only, and briefly, to limit how many questions one visitor can ask in a short period; it is converted into an unreadable value for that purpose and is never stored in our logs. A random, temporary session identifier groups one conversation together. It is not linked to your identity and is discarded when you close the site.
Assistant logs are stored on Cloudflare’s analytics platform, which automatically deletes them after about three months. Because these logs contain no name, email address, or other identifier, we have no way to look up an individual person’s messages, and there is nothing in them that identifies you. If you believe you typed something personal into the assistant and want it addressed, email us at the address below with roughly when you sent it and we’ll help, and in any case the record is deleted automatically within about three months.
Data retention
We keep contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain basic business records.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any information you’ve submitted through the contact form by emailing us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
